About Veronica Hopkins

Veronica Hopkins—known as Vee to those closest to her—was born and raised in the vibrant city of Caracas, Venezuela. Her early years were filled with travel, adventure, and sketchbooks, as she explored the world alongside her family. When she wasn’t drawing, she was reading—books became her sanctuary, a place to escape, dream, and discover stories that felt more real than reality.

In 2017, Vee earned her Associate’s degree in Graphic Design and made the bold leap to Miami to chase her creative dreams. Just two years later, she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Graphic & Web Design from the Miami International University of Art & Design. But her creative journey didn’t stop there.

After college, she began writing short stories—quietly, just for herself and her friends. Then life shifted: she got married, became a mom to twins, and somewhere in the beautiful chaos of motherhood, her love for storytelling reignited. In 2025, she wrote her debut dark fantasy novel, Cursed by the Shadows, weaving magic and emotion while balancing diapers and deadlines.

Today, Vee continues to write stories that blend fantasy with heart, inspired by the worlds she once escaped into—and the one she’s building now.
